Whoa this past weekend was a crazy one!
Friday June 30th
I will start from the beginning. My best friend Amanda, from the University of St. Thomas, came to stay with my family this past weekend. This was the first time I saw her since we said goodbye at the end of the school year. I was so excited to spend a bunch of time together after being apart for so long. We decided to see our favorite artist, Jon Bellion, at Summerfest. He was such a great performer and it was amazing to see him live for the first time. I got to introduce her to all my high school friends and we had a blast.

Saturday July 1st
Saturday morning Amanda, my Mom, and I biked down to the farmers market in Tosa. We got crepes and walked around all the vendors. That afternoon we got lunch at Cafe Bavaria in Tosa. It was a very relaxing Saturday. That night we went to Pizza Man downtown. They have some amazing Pizza and we ordered a “Lamb sausage and goat cheese pizza”. I have found a new love for goat cheese.

Sunday July 2nd
We woke up late and decided last-minute to go to Chicago. Amanda had only been to Chicago once in her life so we thought it would be fun to go show her around the city. Of course we stopped at my favorite place, Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba, for brunch. Then we went shopping around Michigan Ave and walked down the city blocks. Driving through Chicago made me so eager to live there someday. I would love to live there after college. Amanda and I were dreaming about the beautiful brownstone houses! I wore a black tie romper that was super nice for the hot weather in Chicago.

Monday July 3rd
I had to go into work so Zoe, my sister, took Amanda on a walk in our beautiful county grounds and went to work out. I had a half day, once I came back we went to the Wisconsin Club for a relaxing pool day. Sofi, my grade school friend who also goes to St. Thomas, invited Amanda and I to watch the fireworks with her family at the Milwaukee lakefront. I think these were some of the best fireworks I have seen in my life.

Tuesday July 4th
The big day! It was a fun and sad day. Amanda had to leave on the 4th because she had a five-hour drive back to Minnesota. However, we spent the morning in Whitefish Bay watching their fourth of July parade. Zoe was in the parade to support her service trip, Pivotal directions. We ate lunch and had a great day celebrating America. I decided to go festive with my outfit and add a pop of color with the red tie bandana.

My weekend was so much fun and I cannot tell you how awesome it was to show my college friend my city. I hope you all had a wonderful fourth! This was a long post but thank you for reading!!
