1. Gladiator platforms
Recently I was out grabbing ice cream and I saw a girl wearing the Eileen Fisher sport sandal. These shoes are adorable and look super comfortable. They happen to be quite spendy. So I went looking for other options and I found these DSW shoes that I think look quite similar and wayyyy cheaper. $195 compared to $50!! I have a small shoe obsession but it’s fine!
2. Essie gel nails
I had a sleepover (yes I am in college and still have sleepovers) with my friends and of course we painted each others nails. She had the Essie Gel nail collection and it was awesome. The finish was exactly like a shellac. Highly recommend if you to do your own at home manicure!
3. Summer reading
Currently reading: I found this girly summer book called “Once and For All” by Sarah Dessen. It is a romance novel (my weakness) and about wedding planning. Perfect easy read for a day by the pool.
Up next: Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard . This book is one of a series and follows a girl as she is pushed into the world of hierarchy. I am curious about this book and look forward to reading it.
Do you have any summer reading suggestions?
4. New blog format
As a new blogger, I have been having a very difficult time figuring out a good format. Thank you for bearing with me while I have changed my theme about ten million times. I am a perfectionist when it comes to things like this, and I am happy to say I am very pleased with the outcome. If you have any suggestions for me please feel free to let me know.
5. Harbor House
BIRTHDAY BIRTHDAY BIRTHDAY
This past weekend I celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday and it was filled with tons of fun. However, we always like to do something special for the other and I decided to take Jack out to a nice dinner. The Harbor House is a beautiful restaurant that overlooks Lake Michigan. We had an amazing dinner and got some free dessert too.
