Weekly Obsessions September 29th

Are you surprised to see that title? It has been a long time since I have done one of these. I thought it would be a fun post to put out for you!

Milwaukee

I am so excited because I am heading to Milwaukee this weekend. I am going to visit my family. Zoe has one of her homecomings this weekend so I will be able to see her all dressed up. This is going to be such a great time to spend with my family. Of course I get to see my special man, Cody! To say I am excited is an understatement. MKE here I come!

New Girl/RiverDale

Ok I am going to have to talk about both of these shows because they have been my late night go-tos. NEW GIRL, I love this show and am caught up to date on the latest episodes, but I have been rewatching the first seasons. Schmidt’s character can make me laugh out loud! It has been so fun re-watching these episodes.

Side note: my friends have been telling me that I am just like  Jess? I can’t decide if I take that as a compliment or if they just think I’m a dweeb. I guess I have to just own my sense of humor 🙂

RIVERDALE, ok if you are not or have not watched this show you need to log into Netflix right now and watch it. This show is so interesting and it has Cole Sprouse in it. (Sweet Life of Zack and Cody am I right?) It is about some high school kids who try to decipher the unsettling death of one of their classmates. Season 2 comes out on October 11th and I could not be happier!!!

Morning/ Night Time Yoga

The other day my friend Sofi and I did not want to do a full work out so we decided to do some yoga. It was so relaxing to do this yoga routine. I am going to give myself a challenge to do 5 minutes of yoga before I go to bed or right when I wake up. I have been reading up about mindfulness and how having a healthy mind can lead to a healthy body. Hopefully doing some yoga in the morning with allow me to gather my thoughts. Lately, I have been feeling very unproductive. So I am trying to give myself a schedule and focus on my mental health.

Here is the quick yoga that I did!

Free Flowers

Yesterday my school was giving away free flowers and it made my day. I carried these with me the whole day and they were a great reminder to smile. Sometimes we forget to stop and smile at the little things, but I am trying to be more aware of this (mindfulness).

“Dancing On My Own” – Calum Scott

I am currently listening to this beautiful song, while writing this post for you guys. For some reason this song has been popping up everywhere in my life. Every time I hear it I fall a little bit more in love with the song. It is so beautiful and raw. As a singer myself, I can be very critical of music and singers especially. His voice in the song is so powerful, you can hear the strong emotion and that is refreshing to hear.
